Position: Child Care Provider – Sunday

Location: The Riverside Church

Reporting To: Minister of Children & Families

Department: Children & Families

Work Schedule: Sundays, 10:15 AM to 12:45 PM

Compensation: $25 per hour

Position Summary:

The Child Care Provider is responsible for delivering reliable, nurturing, and stimulating care to children aged 0-3 years in a safe and clean environment. This role operates under the guidance of the Minister of Children & Families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all safety policies established by The Riverside Church.
  • Complete CPR training as required.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including songs, stories, and crafts.
  • Provide comprehensive care, which includes feeding, diaper changes, bathroom assistance, and ensuring a secure environment.
  • Maintain a safe nursery space by ensuring hazardous materials are out of reach and using safety measures for electrical outlets.
  • Report any concerns regarding children or fellow staff members to the Minister of Children & Families.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops as directed.
  • Be available to work on holidays that coincide with Sundays and assist during peak times.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

  • Valid identification and reliable transportation.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience with children aged 0-3 and adaptability to various personalities.
