Position Overview:
The Operations Supervisor will support the General Manager in overseeing daily gym activities.

The Operations Supervisor will lead a team focused on fostering a vibrant yet competitive atmosphere, enhancing member satisfaction, driving sales, and ensuring financial success.

The Operations Supervisor reports directly to the General Manager.

This position involves leadership, management, and organizational responsibilities to guarantee that team members perform efficiently and effectively during their shifts.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Organizing shift schedules for team members
  • Monitoring attendance, punctuality, and time-off requests
  • Assigning tasks to employees based on their roles and skills
  • Supervising staff and assisting with tasks as needed
  • Evaluating employee performance and providing feedback to the General Manager and team members
  • Managing employee requests and conduct
  • Training new and existing team members on their responsibilities
  • Addressing customer concerns and resolving conflicts
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and health, safety, and employment standards
  • Maintaining the integrity and security of member documents and sensitive information
  • Overseeing club cleanliness and maintenance to ensure all areas are in pristine condition
  • Driving sales and enhancing member experience metrics such as BCM%, EFT growth, membership upgrades, and merchandise sales
Qualifications:
Most candidates for the Operations Supervisor position should possess at least a high school diploma or GED. Some may have an associate degree in business administration or management.

While not mandatory, a bachelor's degree in business or a related field may demonstrate advanced industry knowledge and relevant skills.

Many candidates may benefit from on-the-job training to transition effectively into their roles.
Experience in a supervisory role within the industry or with our team is typically required.

For internal promotions, candidates must have a minimum of 6 months of employment with a clean performance record for the past 6 months.

  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing staff, including Shift Leaders, Member Service Representatives, Trainers, and Cleaners.
  • Provide ongoing training in all sales areas, including information calls, tours, and rate presentations.
  • Create and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests, ensuring adherence to superior customer service standards.
  • Manage all daily operations effectively.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership to achieve club goals.
  • Identify and improve areas needing attention within the club.
  • Utilize sales skills and training to drive and grow club sales.
  • Assist in scheduling staff to ensure all shifts are adequately covered.
  • Lead by example, maintaining accountability for direct reports through training and coaching, ensuring alignment with company values and goals.
  • Address employee issues or concerns in collaboration with the General Manager.
  • Conduct follow-ups and hold all staff accountable.
  • Manage disciplinary actions in coordination with the General Manager.
  • Engage in all front desk activities.
  • Facilitate member requests, issues, and inquiries.
  • Ensure timely opening and closing of the gym.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
  • Conduct cleaning of assigned areas, creating priority lists and delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Prepare the club for monthly inspections and unannounced corporate visits.
  • Communicate with the overnight cleaning team and conduct inspections as necessary.
  • Ensure the safety of employees, members, and club property.
  • Promptly report equipment repairs through the designated system.
  • Manage marketing efforts by ensuring staff is informed and trained on all promotions.
  • Analyze and evaluate reports and statistics to ensure success in various metrics.

This role is contingent upon successful completion of a background check after acceptance of an offer. All background screenings will be conducted in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
