Director, Rare Disease Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Rare Disease Management to join our team at X4 Pharmaceuticals. As a key member of our commercial organization, you will be responsible for driving patient identification and access to our innovative treatments in the Central Plains region.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute territory-level business plans to drive patient identification and access to our treatments
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals and office staff to maximize their time and optimize access to our treatments
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of commercial strategies
- Drive market development and physician education to increase awareness and adoption of our treatments
- Report territory-level market dynamics and trends to inform business decisions
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7-10+ years of experience in biotech, ultra-rare diseases in the U.S.
- Rare/orphan disease experience within the last 10 years in Immunology and/or benign hematology
- U.S. launch experience required, along with demonstrated successes
- Miscellaneous J-code product launch experience required, including a working knowledge of government and commercial payers
- Understanding and experience working with HUB patient services required
- Hospital/institution knowledge and expertise with pharmacy formulary processes in academic settings
- Experience driving, leading, and delivering upon territory-level cross-functional business planning
- Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory environment in biotech/pharmaceutical industry
- Understanding of charitable access and specialty channel distribution is preferred
- Experience supporting oral biologic therapy preferred
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Effective at managing complex individualized cases in a compliant manner
