Key Responsibilities- Program Development: Plan, implement, and maintain a developmentally appropriate classroom environment, materials, and equipment that promote children's cognitive, emotional, social, and physical growth.
- Curriculum Implementation: Develop and oversee developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities in collaboration with teachers, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children.
- Child Development: Evaluate children's development, work with specialists or outside services as needed, and maintain accurate records and portfolios.
- Communication: Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents, create a welcoming environment, and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Leadership: Serve as a leader in the classroom, promoting a positive, collaborative, and professional atmosphere, and providing support to teachers and colleagues.
- Qualifications: EEC lead teacher qualified, two years of experience as an early childhood teacher, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Certifications: Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively, organized, reliable, and conscientious, with a willingness to increase knowledge in the field and understand and abide by the Center's policies and procedures.
The Lead Toddler Educator will work in an early childhood learning facility with a moderate level of noise, subject to seasonal changes, and may be required to work weekends and evenings on occasion. The employee will have significant contact with children, parents, and other stakeholders, and will be responsible for maintaining confidentiality of records and other information.
