About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Child Care Subsidy Program Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our Child Care Subsidy Program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Duty Person responsibilities, responding to clients who walk in or call to see a worker, as assigned each month.
  • Assist with the management of vacant caseloads and assigned case loads when there is a staff vacancy.
  • Respond to changes in situations from clients and child care providers, applying these changes to the client's case per policy requirements.
  • Work closely with various Wake County Health and Human Services employees, including those from the Public Health and school system organizations, as well as community/social services agencies, to better serve the needs of our diverse population.
  • Perform full case management, including taking applications and recertifications, processing changes submitted by clients for all clients on the caseworker's case load.
Requirements
  • High school degree or GED.
  • Two years of job-related experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and 'safe' driving record.
  • Equivalent education and experience are accepted.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience as an Eligibility Caseworker in an Economic Services program (Child Care Subsidy, Medicaid, FNS, Energy, Work First).
  • Proficient in NC FAST and OnBase or proficient with a document management software system.
