Nursing Administrative Lead

Position Overview: A registered nurse tasked with managing administrative functions during designated shifts, addressing patient care challenges within the nursing staff, or directing non-nursing issues to the relevant department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate staffing schedules for each unit per shift.
  • Assist the charge nurse in addressing staffing challenges as they occur.
  • Conduct rounds to maintain a prominent managerial presence.
  • Support new team members and act as a resource for the nursing staff.
  • Assist with procedures when staff face difficulties.
  • Advocate for essential resources, including supplies.
  • Listen to staff concerns and effectively resolve conflicts when necessary.
  • Respond to safety codes as required.
  • Provide constructive feedback to nurse managers regarding quality and employee matters.
  • Address patient and family grievances when needed.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Complete mandatory educational tasks annually. Work towards established goals and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Perform any other assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: None specified; however, it should align with the requirements for obtaining the necessary license/certification.
Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of clinical experience, with a preference for nursing education experience.
Licensure Requirement: Must possess a current Tennessee RN license. CPR certification is required.
