Position Overview: A clinical nurse administrator responsible for managing administrative functions during designated shifts, addressing patient care matters within the nursing staff or directing non-nursing issues to the relevant department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate staff schedules for each unit during shifts.
  • Assist the lead nurse in addressing staffing challenges as they occur.
  • Conduct rounds and maintain a prominent managerial presence.
  • Support new personnel and act as a resource for the nursing team.
  • Assist with procedures in situations where staff face difficulties.
  • Advocate for essential resources such as medical supplies.
  • Listen to staff concerns and effectively resolve conflicts when necessary.
  • Respond to safety codes as required.
  • Provide constructive feedback to nurse managers regarding quality and employee matters.
  • Address patient and family grievances when needed.
  • Comply with policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Complete mandatory educational tasks annually. Work towards established goals and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
  • Perform any other assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education: None specified; however, it should fulfill the requirements for obtaining the necessary license/certification.
Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of clinical experience with a preference for nursing education experience.
Licensure Requirement: Must possess a current Tennessee RN license. CPR certification is required.
