Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate staff schedules for each unit during shifts.
- Assist the lead nurse in addressing staffing challenges as they occur.
- Conduct rounds and maintain a prominent managerial presence.
- Support new personnel and act as a resource for the nursing team.
- Assist with procedures in situations where staff face difficulties.
- Advocate for essential resources such as medical supplies.
- Listen to staff concerns and effectively resolve conflicts when necessary.
- Respond to safety codes as required.
- Provide constructive feedback to nurse managers regarding quality and employee matters.
- Address patient and family grievances when needed.
- Comply with policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Complete mandatory educational tasks annually. Work towards established goals and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Perform any other assigned responsibilities.
Minimum Education: None specified; however, it should fulfill the requirements for obtaining the necessary license/certification.
Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of clinical experience with a preference for nursing education experience.
Licensure Requirement: Must possess a current Tennessee RN license. CPR certification is required.
