Role Summary:
We are a premier Skilled Assisted Living facility dedicated to providing exceptional care. We seek an individual with a strong commitment to cleanliness and a passion for maintaining a pristine environment. This role is crucial in ensuring the hygiene of resident accommodations and communal spaces through various cleaning, laundry, and minor maintenance tasks, while also supporting fellow staff, residents, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine cleaning of communal areas and resident rooms, ensuring that care provided by Clinical Care Assistants is not disrupted.
- Conduct deep cleaning of resident accommodations and shared spaces, which includes moving furniture for thorough cleaning, sanitizing all surfaces, vacuuming, and polishing floors as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness in resident and public restrooms, including scrubbing toilets, disinfecting countertops, and mopping floors.
- Restock essential supplies such as tissues, hand soap, and toilet paper.
- Vacuum and tidy all common areas, offices, and hallways, while managing waste disposal effectively.
- Dust and maintain cleanliness in offices and shared spaces.
- Ensure safe storage of cleaning supplies and maintain an organized cleaning cart that is secure from resident access.
- Uphold an odor-free environment throughout the community.
- Keep the laundry area organized and clean, while managing daily laundry tasks for residents and the facility.
- Adhere to infection control protocols during all cleaning activities.
- Dispose of damaged linens appropriately, keep track of inventory, and communicate linen needs to supervisors.
- Maintain all cleaning equipment and supplies in good condition, reporting any needs for repairs or replenishments.
- Assist team members in fostering a clean and welcoming environment by tidying up spaces and ensuring they are presentable.
- Arrive at work punctually and follow proper procedures for notifying absence when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a housekeeping or laundry role within an Assisted Living or similar environment, with knowledge of cleaning equipment and products.
- Preferred certifications include CBRF Registry, CPR/AED, and experience in Alzheimer’s/Dementia care.
