Position Overview:

The Commercial Construction Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the daily operations on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directing and managing the on-site construction workforce.
  • Coordinating and supervising all activities on the job site.
  • Participating in production meetings to discuss project progress.
  • Reviewing project schedules and budgets to ensure compliance.
  • Maintaining high-quality standards throughout the construction process.
  • Ordering materials and managing equipment and supplies on-site.
  • Adhering to project timelines to meet established deadlines.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintaining a clean work environment.
  • Keeping detailed records of site personnel, including daily reports and requests for information.
  • Communicating with inspection authorities to secure necessary approvals.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Commercial Construction Superintendent, with experience in projects exceeding $5 million.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Aptitude for learning and utilizing construction management software.
  • Skilled in capturing and uploading digital images for project documentation.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and operate heavy machinery.
  • Capability to interpret and execute plans, specifications, and other technical documents.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
