POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the ongoing support and enhancement of our electrical engineering initiatives for communication systems, including noise-canceling headsets and microphones. This role is crucial for ensuring the longevity and improvement of our electrical designs throughout the product lifecycle.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• In-depth understanding of electrical engineering concepts, including analog, digital, RF, and power electronic systems

• Expertise in root cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies

• Familiarity with electrical schematic capture and PCB layout tools; experience with Cadence Orcad and Allegro is advantageous

• Ability to analyze electrical component datasheets and work collaboratively with major component suppliers

• Experience in manufacturing electro-mechanical assemblies; knowledge of electro-acoustic components is a plus

• Understanding of military qualification standards such as MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 is desirable

• Experience in electrical test development, including MATLAB programming, is preferred

• Strong communication skills for effective interaction across all organizational levels, both written and verbal.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the schematic capture and layout of electronic circuits (RF, power, digital, and analog) for legacy products, ensuring seamless transition from prototype to production.

• Create engineering documentation for the manufacturing of printed circuit boards and system assemblies.

• Develop detailed system block diagrams and schematics to document support equipment utilized in manufacturing processes.

• Assist in field failure analysis and address quality issues through engineering solutions or product modifications.

• Formulate comprehensive test plans, coordinate testing and validation efforts, and prepare detailed reports.

• Maintain an electrical component database to manage obsolescence and allocation challenges, proactively identifying alternative components.

• Collaborate with supply chain teams to resolve manufacturing issues related to legacy product components.

• Contribute to cost estimation, cost reduction initiatives, and sustainment strategies throughout product lifecycles.

• Analyze and interpret test data using appropriate mathematical and statistical techniques, preparing technical reports and recommendations.

• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and technicians to execute electrical engineering tasks for product sustainment.

• Assist in the transition of products from design to manufacturing, ensuring producibility and maintainability.

• Provide regular updates on project status, highlighting any deviations from baseline projections.
