Job Summary

The primary function of this position is to conceive, design, develop, evaluate, and document electrical circuits and systems. This role will also provide engineering support on interdisciplinary teams involved with production transition and process control activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical circuits and systems

• Provide engineering support on interdisciplinary teams

• Evaluate and document electrical circuits and systems

• Collaborate with software developers to define hardware/software interfaces

• Participate in technical aspects of bids and proposals

• Record, analyze, and interpret test data

• Prepare and present technical reports and recommendations

• Direct and mentor junior engineers, designers, and technicians

Requirements

• B.S. Electrical Engineering or related field

• 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering (BS), New Product Design and Development

• 3+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering (MS), New Product Development

• M.S. preferred

• Experience in audio and/or military programs desired

• Proficiency with modern schematic capture and layout tools

• Proficiency with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, etc.

• Knowledge of signal processing techniques in software (DSP) is desired

• Micropower/battery powered design experience desired

• Ability to create technical documents and presentations

• Ability to work in small multi-disciplinary teams with minimal supervision

About the Location

Gentex's Manchester facility is located in southern New Hampshire. Manchester is the largest convention, sports, entertainment, and arts & cultural destination in New Hampshire.
