Job Summary

KPC Healthcare, INC. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Manager to lead our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising functions and activities in the unit, implementing and interpreting policies, procedures, standards, and regulations to personnel, patients, medical staff, and the public.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Direct and supervise functions and activities in the unit, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality patient care.
  • Patient Care: Implement and interpret policies, procedures, standards, and regulations to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Staff Development: Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Quality Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance patient satisfaction, safety, and quality of care.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with medical staff, patients, and families to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate nurse of an accredited school of nursing – BSN or ASN - required.
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse, licensed in the state. CA RN LICENSE & BLS, ACLS, PALs, and ABLS required – must be completed only by American Heart Association.
  • Job Knowledge: Able to demonstrate the following core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, and leadership.
  • Certifications: NIHSS - STROKE Cert – required.
