Medical Assistant OBGYN Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Intermountain Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in an ambulatory clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic clerical and office duties, including assembling necessary documents and supplies, and maintaining medical records.
- Effectively use computer applications in the office setting, including scheduling, coordinating, and monitoring appointments, inpatient and outpatient admissions, tests, treatments, and procedures.
- Perform business and financial duties, including assigning procedural and diagnostic coding to encounter forms, conducting pre-authorizations and referrals, and facilitating timely billing.
- Perform clinical functions within acceptable standards of care, including prioritizing patient needs, recognizing and responding to emergency situations, and preparing and maintaining examination and treatment areas.
Requirements:
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program or 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience or current RN/LPN license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Current national MA certification from one of the following national MA certifications or registrations: Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) of AMT, National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) of the AAMA.
