About this Role

The Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Application Processing Manager I. This role is responsible for planning, directing, and organizing the day-to-day operations of the Application Processing Unit, which provides program support related to the processing and reviewing of provider applications for participation in the Medi-Cal program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of professional staff and represent the Section at internal and external meetings.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Application Processing Unit.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and departmental policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure the successful completion of tasks and projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in program management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to have a deep understanding of the Medi-Cal program and the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
