Job Summary

The Fisk University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach part-time in the CORE Curriculum. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to enhance their academic, scholarly, and creative abilities while contributing to the development of competent, resourceful, and imaginative leaders.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a full range of courses in the foundations of humanities, math, science, and social science
  • Develop and deliver learning activities to achieve course outcomes
  • Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, papers, and examinations
  • Maintain and submit student attendance records, grades, and other required documentation
  • Participate in periodic meetings with the supervisor or Chair of the department
Qualifications

A Master's degree in Business Administration or a relevant discipline with experience in teaching a variety of courses in subdisciplines of Business is required.

  • A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience in the field of Business
  • Proven ability to cultivate professional relationships with local, state, and federal businesses
Additional Requirements

A background and credit check will be required of the successful applicant. An official transcript (if applicable) and names, addresses, and phone numbers of three (3) references will be required of the successful applicant.

Working Conditions

The normal office conditions of the work environment are moderate, with occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds.
