Job Title: Adjunct Instructor

Job Summary:

The Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach computer science and information systems courses. As an adjunct instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students in a variety of delivery modes, including on-ground, online, and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach courses in computer science and information systems, including introductory and advanced courses
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi and assessments
  • Utilize the College's learning management system to provide course materials to students
  • Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class
  • Regularly check College email account and department mailbox
  • Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends
  • Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines
  • Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or Master's degree and 18 graduate hours in Computer Science or Information Science or a closely related field
  • College level teaching experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of and/or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Rate of Pay: $650.00 - $740.00 per credit hour
