The Gateway Development Commission (GDC) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager of Finance to join its finance team. As a key member of the team, the Senior Manager of Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of GDC and advising on its financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the financial operations of GDC, including budget management, financial reporting, and financial analysis.
- Develop and implement financial strategies to support the Commission's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with external advisory teams to develop and maintain financial models.
- Compile and maintain GDC's operating budget and review other required financial reports.
- Process financial data using various accounting and information systems.
- Perform complex cost and financial analyses, and prepare narrative analysis for management.
- Ensure compliance with multiple complex grant and funding requirements.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A bachelor's degree in business or public administration, finance, accounting, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of seven years of increasingly responsible experience conducting financial analyses, preferably for a public agency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of public and financial analysis and administration.
