Stoneleaf Construction, LLC is seeking a skilled Construction Superintendent to manage the field operations of subcontractors involved in the construction of residential properties and commercial buildings. This role will provide essential support to the Senior Construction Manager and Project Manager(s) to ensure the successful execution of projects and alignment with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise subcontractors across multiple projects valued at $5 million each.
  • Handle administrative tasks including procurement of materials and subcontractor management for each project.
  • Ensure site safety by maintaining a clean and secure construction environment.
  • Develop and uphold project schedules effectively.
  • Possess extensive knowledge of the construction sector, particularly in high-end residential projects.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and mechanical drawings.
  • Conduct estimates, measurements, and compile material lists.
  • Review and coordinate schedules for doors, windows, and rough openings.
  • Understand various construction trades and practices thoroughly.
  • Utilize construction management software (e.g., Procore) effectively.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with trades and vendors.
  • Review trade layouts prior to commencement, including mechanical systems.
  • Gather and confirm all necessary information to create and adjust project schedules continuously.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of trades and vendors, including a minimum three-week look-ahead schedule.
  • Monitor performance against project requirements by all involved parties.
  • Collaborate with the Scheduler or Project Manager to develop the progress schedule.
  • Engage in scope reviews with various trades to ensure comprehensive coordination and avoid omissions or redundancies.
  • Work alongside the Project Manager to implement site utilization programs, security measures, and other necessary arrangements for effective construction operations.
  • Identify field construction considerations and work sequences in collaboration with the Project Manager.
  • Assess subcontractor workforce adequacy and work hours to meet performance expectations.
  • Oversee field operations to ensure adherence to quality standards, utilizing quality checklists.
  • Inspect material deliveries for compliance with purchase orders.
  • Coordinate and schedule building inspections, maintaining logs and obtaining reports.
  • Arrange for project surveyor and/or engineer services as needed, keeping detailed logs and obtaining reports.
  • Assist Project Managers with project estimation, scheduling, and completion.
  • Identify and manage change orders as they arise.
  • Provide daily job logs, diaries, narratives, and regular documentation, including photographs for each project.
  • Prepare and manage punch lists by trade, conducting walkthroughs with architects, owners, and project managers.
  • Ensure timely completion of punch list items.
  • Adhere to company safety and operational guidelines.
  • Utilize personal transportation to reach project sites.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally in both verbal and written forms.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by Stoneleaf Construction, LLC.

Required Certifications

  • Minimum of OSHA 10 Certification(s).
