Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Janitorial Assistant to join our team. The Janitorial Assistant will play a crucial role in maintaining the community's physical condition and equipment in alignment with company standards, safeguarding them from damage and deterioration. This role encompasses preventive maintenance, janitorial tasks, landscaping, and addressing service requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service Requests: Ensure timely and professional completion of service requests within twenty-four (24) hours, coordinating with vendors as necessary. Document and report any deviations from our commitment.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Regularly update, execute, and document the preventive maintenance schedule, keeping management informed of outstanding items.
  • Property Inspections: Conduct routine inspections to ensure compliance with established standards for grounds, safety, cleanliness, and overall appearance.
  • Resident Relations: As a frontline employee, foster positive relationships with residents, prospective residents, and colleagues through courteous and professional communication.
  • Occupancy Management: Collaborate with the team to ensure apartments are ready for occupancy, overseeing all aspects of the make-ready process.
  • Safety Commitment: Maintain life safety equipment and ensure a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety measures.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, drywall repairs, carpentry, or pool/spa maintenance is preferred.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. EPA-CFC Certification is mandatory, and EPA-LBP certification is necessary for properties built before 1978.

Communication Skills: Strong relationship management and rapport-building abilities, with a knack for motivating others.

Problem-Solving: Demonstrates empathy and tact when addressing resident concerns, prioritizing customer service.
