As a Pricing and Profitability Expert at Materials and Engineering Company, you will play a critical role in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making. Your expertise in cost control, margin analysis, and pricing strategies will enable you to make a significant impact on our company's bottom line.
About the Role
- You will lead the regional team of margin and cost analysts, providing front-line support to the commercial team and developing strategies to maximize profitability.
- Closely collaborate with various departments, including finance, sales, and operations, to drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
- Experience in manufacturing or a similar industry is preferred, but not required.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize profitability, analyzing cost structures and ensuring margin targets are met.
- Analyze cost structures, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and provide recommendations to management.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of detailed margin reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Manage the timeliness and accuracy of reporting by the margin and cost analysts.
- Monitor inventory cycle count programs and conduct periodic audits.
- Establish improved processes for margin analysis, inventory, and cost operations.
- Participate in internal and external audits, collaborating with senior management as needed.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop margin targets and financial forecasts.
- Monitor and analyze product and service margins, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and evaluate pricing strategies to maximize profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in education or a related field, with strong knowledge of COGS, margin analysis, and costing.
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a finance department.
- Commercial application of accounting standards (e.g., US GAAP).
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Estimated Salary
$90,000 - $140,000 per year, based on experience.
