About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our team at DLR Group. As a Senior Interior Designer, you will be responsible for leading project design efforts, collaborating with clients, and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design solutions for K-12 and education projects.
  • Lead project design efforts, including concept development, material selection, and presentation.
  • Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and project management.
  • Estimate fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals and contracts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or equivalent.
  • 10-12 years of commercial design experience with expertise in education (K-12 or higher ed).
  • Proficiency with Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency with SketchUp and 3D rendering software.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team atmosphere.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional NCIDQ Certification.
  • Industry involvement in relevant market sector organizations.
