PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
- Conducts tasks associated with all production operations, collaborating with engineers on setup and calibration activities, as well as executing work, rework, testing, and troubleshooting related to the fabrication of parts, components, subassemblies, and complete system assemblies.
- Utilizes advanced software to gather and analyze operational data to perform real-time adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
- Identifies or may assist in formulating methods and procedures from schematics, drawings, and/or diagrams to regulate or alter the manufacturing workflow.
- Partners with engineers to carry out experiments. May compile technical documentation summarizing results and proposing solutions to technical challenges.
- Higher-level positions may offer guidance to other non-exempt staff and may oversee or direct activities within a team lead capacity.
Required Skills:
- Under limited supervision, accountable for intricate assignments necessitating a comprehensive understanding of the discipline or function and all associated areas.
- Exhibits discretion in determining the approach to tasks and/or application of procedures, policies, or processes. Work is generally assessed upon completion to confirm that objectives have been achieved.
- May serve as a lead and/or project coordinator. May provide mentorship to other non-exempt personnel.
- Requires extensive knowledge and skills in the discipline and related fields, in executing tasks in a creative and effective manner.
- Expected to guide and impart knowledge to junior staff members.
- Offers solutions to resolve complex issues that may influence established policies and procedures.
- Frequently applies judgment in interpreting procedures and practices and in suggesting modifications.
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in testing within a similar field.
- Experience with Oracle systems preferred.
- Familiarity with 5S or other Lean methodologies is desirable.
