About This Role:
The Medical Oncology Territory Business Development Representative represents Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. in assigned customer territories. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for promoting our products and providing approved disease state and product information to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Sales Objectives:
- Achieve or exceed sales targets through effective promotion of product features and benefits to key accounts, including academic institutions, hospitals, infusion centers, and specialist healthcare providers.
- Bid on business opportunities and develop strategies to meet customer needs and interests.
Main Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with customers and key opinion leaders through regular visits, education, and influence.
- Analyze customer needs and interests to tailor your approach and maximize sales potential.
- Maintain accurate records and submit regular updates to the customer database.
- Communicate product information, advantages, features, and benefits to healthcare professionals in individual and group settings.
- Participate in training programs and stay up-to-date with market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends.
- Maintain a high level of product expertise and provide excellent customer service to all accounts.
- Utilize sales force automation systems and equipment to enhance the impact of sales calls and territory management.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Minimum 4 years of overall related experience required.
- 1 year or more of sales/marketing experience in the pharmaceutical or medical industry required.
- Rare disease and/or oncology experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 60%.
Compensation and Benefits:
This position comes with a targeted base salary range of $140,000 - $170,000. The actual compensation package will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, this role is eligible for sales incentives and long-term incentives based on performance. A company vehicle will also be provided.
