Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations into any suspicious activities or violations of company policies that may jeopardize the security of assets across all departments.
  • Ensure adherence to all company policies and procedures regarding asset protection.
  • Identify and analyze the root causes of loss or potential loss through collaboration with store teams and direct notifications.
  • Maintain accurate records of cash control and invoices using a database system.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive incident and restitution documentation.
  • Foster positive relationships with law enforcement agencies to enhance cooperation.
  • Continuously assess and improve strategies to mitigate loss, focusing on cash and inventory.
  • Perform regular inspections of facilities to ensure physical security and asset protection.
  • Monitor surveillance systems as necessary.
  • Keep the Asset Protection Manager updated on all relevant incidents.
  • Coordinate inventory counts and cash audits, compiling data for analysis.
  • Participate in hearings and court proceedings as required.
  • Act as the primary backup for the Asset Protection Manager.
  • Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to the position.
  • Support and enforce all company policies and comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor team members, conducting performance evaluations and providing constructive feedback.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a retail environment or security field.
  • Ability to travel independently as needed.
  • Physical requirements include standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and occasionally lifting up to 70 pounds.
  • Previous experience in retail or security is preferred.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree is a plus.
