Job Description

The Asset Protection Specialist plays a critical role in safeguarding Home Depot's assets and ensuring a safe working environment. Key responsibilities include:

Primary Responsibilities
  • Preventing financial loss caused by theft and fraud
  • Supporting safety and environmental program compliance
  • Identifying incidents of theft and fraud, reviewing CCTV and exception reports, and monitoring physical security
  • Preparing accurate and detailed case reports documenting apprehensions and recoveries
  • Preserving evidence and interacting with law enforcement
  • Testifying in criminal and civil court actions

The Asset Protection Specialist must demonstrate integrity at all times, respond to asset protection and operational concerns of all associates, and remain focused on store-specific business objectives. They must also report any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty and carry out job responsibilities in a manner that minimizes the risk of injury to themselves, other associates, vendors, customers, and the Company.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
