Position Overview:

As a Veterinary Technician specializing in Internal Medicine, you will work closely with our internists to provide essential information to clients regarding patient care, updates, and treatment plans. This role emphasizes relationship building, as patient care often involves longer-term engagement. If you are eager to blend your love for animals with client interaction, this position is ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer constant rate infusions (CRI).
  • Perform complex medical calculations, including advanced CRI metrics.
  • Induce, monitor, and recover patients from anesthesia.
  • Prepare for ultrasound and radiology examinations.
  • Assist with endoscopic procedures, including gastrointestinal, nasal, urinary, and airway interventions.
  • Facilitate patient discharge and provide client education.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in veterinary care is required; experience in internal medicine or anesthesia is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in medical calculations (medications, CRI, unit conversions, etc.).
  • Willingness to adapt to varying work hours and take on additional shifts as needed.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
