We are seeking a highly skilled NICU Registered Nurse to join our team at Methodist Charlton Medical Center. As a NICU RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill newborns and their families.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill newborns, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines, administering medications, and performing respiratory care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to physicians and other healthcare team members.
- Provide education to patients and their families on disease management, medication use, and other health-related topics.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- 1 year of NICU RN experience required.
- BLS and NRP certifications required.
- Epic charting experience required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills required.
