Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking a qualified professional to support the company's procurement efforts.
Job SummaryThis is a full-time office position that requires no remote work. The successful candidate will be based in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Project OverviewThe project involves the procurement and management of materials and services for various projects, including the design and construction of complex systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business objectives
- Manage bid processes, including bid solicitation, evaluation, and award
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors
- Initiate and process purchase orders, including revisions and changes
- Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of experience or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree
- U.S. Citizenship Required
- Knowledge of business administration procedures, techniques, and business ethics
- Skilled in oral and written communication
- Intermediate knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations, and applicable Agency Supplements
- Intermediate understanding of Governmental Contracts and the flow-down of applicable clauses and requirements
- Intermediate understanding of Cost Accounting Standards, and determination process for applicability to the work
- When assigned to a project, actual experience in materials handling operations is desirable
- Intermediate understanding of scheduling concepts and tools
- Intermediate understanding of materials and equipment fabrication/manufacturing and associated production methods
- Proficiency in organizing tasks and completion within deadlines
