We are currently seeking Lead Teachers for our Twos preschool daycare programs across various campuses:

  • Apple Ridge/Montgomery Village - Serving upper Montgomery County
  • Bells Mill/Potomac - Located near local elementary schools
  • Greenwood/Hyattsville - Conveniently accessible via public transport
  • Potomac Village - Centrally located with easy transportation options

Positions available may be full-time or part-time. Your primary responsibility will be to cater to the individual needs of our students while fostering independence in a nurturing environment filled with trust and warmth.

Compensation starts at $22/hr for qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address the educational needs and interests of preschool children through a creative and age-appropriate curriculum
  • Oversee preschool children to ensure their health, welfare, and safety
  • Support the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental growth of each child in the classroom
  • Exhibit effective leadership within the classroom team
  • Maintain positive communication and relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the community
  • Implement classroom management strategies that promote a safe and positive learning environment

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Lead Teacher position in our Twos preschool program should possess a minimum of the MSDE 90hr Preschool Certification or a CDA with the Preschool Endorsement.

We prefer candidates with 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following skills:

  • Strong understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies
  • Knowledge of MSDE regulations
  • A warm, friendly, and composed demeanor
  • Proficient in technological skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit

In accordance with Maryland State Department of Education Office of Child Care regulations, all applicants must successfully pass a state and federal background check as a condition of employment.
