Outside Sales Representative

Job Purpose: The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving incremental sales growth and profitability through account relationships, focusing on new business development and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned customers to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand customer base and drive incremental sales growth.
  • Utilize Salesforce to plan sales call activity, manage customer communications, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Prospect for new business and leverage internal Sales Development team leads to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed financial performance to plan by working with Regional Pro Sales Manager and Pro Sales Manager.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of professional work experience, with 2 years in account management or sales management.
  • 2 plus years of home improvement or home building industry experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong leadership and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to leverage relationships to accomplish sales and profitability goals.
  • Strong ability to create and cultivate an active network of relationships, both inside and outside the organization.

Working Conditions:

  • Typically in a comfortable environment, with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes that cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in the same position or standing/walking, with some requirement to lift or handle material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.
  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
