Job Overview

Position: Clinic Registered Nurse

We are looking for three (3) dedicated and skilled Clinic Registered Nurses to fulfill the following roles:

  • General Support within Clinic (1.0 FTE)
  • Focus on Women's Health - Full-time position (1.0 FTE)
  • Focus related to Cardiology - Full-time position (1.0 FTE)

As a Clinic Registered Nurse, your primary responsibility will be to deliver outstanding patient care in a clinical environment. You will collaborate closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include patient rooming, telephone triage, medication refills per established protocols, chronic disease management, walk-in patient triage, and assisting providers during examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Care Coordination:

  • Develop and implement plans for delivering exceptional patient care, adhering to departmental and facility standards.
  • Perform nursing procedures within the scope of licensure, including IV starts, urinary catheterization, and patient education.
  • Room patients and assist healthcare providers with procedures and chronic disease management.
  • Administer immunizations and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Support LPN and CMA staff with advanced procedures as required.
  • Document patient phone calls to providers accurately in the EMR, including detailed resolutions.
  • Process medication refills for primary clinic providers promptly.

Triage Management:

  • Respond to triage line inquiries and assist patients via phone.
  • Follow established triage protocols to determine appropriate next steps.
  • Act as the triage nurse for walk-in patients, performing RN duties as necessary.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Understand and adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Conduct work in accordance with organizational policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Perform clerical tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education & Licensure:

  • Current RN license in Wisconsin and Minnesota.

Experience:

  • Preferred experience in clinic, medical/surgical, urgent care, or emergency room settings.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various roles as needed.
  • Excellent communication and listening abilities.
  • Proven capability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
  • Positive contribution to a team environment, aiding the organization in achieving its goals.
  • Strong customer service orientation.

Supervisory Requirements: None

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
  • Prolonged standing, bending, and reaching may be required.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
