About the Job

This Imaging Radiology Technologist will be responsible for performing high-quality radiography (x-ray) exams on patients, ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for x-ray exams, obtain and record vital signs, explain procedures, and position patients accordingly.
  • Select appropriate imaging techniques, ensure technical quality of images, and enter patient data accurately.
  • Maintain equipment and perform quality assurance checks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve seamless patient care and efficient workflows.
  • Comply with Memorial Hermann's policies, procedures, and standards, prioritizing patient safety, quality, and service excellence.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess:

  • A degree from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
  • A current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT).
  • Registration as a Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R).
  • Demonstrated ability to lift and/or maneuver patients safely, working collaboratively with others when necessary.
