AV Installation Lead Job Description

We are seeking an experienced AV Installation Lead to join our team at S&L Integrated. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the installation of audio, video, and lighting integrated systems in commercial venues, houses of worship, governmental buildings, and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the installation of AV systems, ensuring timely completion and adherence to company workmanship standards
  • Interact with customers to address questions, problems, and concerns
  • Train customers on systems, as needed
  • Supervise and direct the work of other technicians to ensure project scope, deadlines, and workmanship standards are met
  • Report on-site risks and issues to the Project Manager for efficient resolution
  • Accurately track time spent on each job assignment and report through the company's established system
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in audio, video, and lighting integration installation
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve common and complex installation issues
  • Ability to wire a full-size rack to company standards
  • Proficient in reading and deciphering blueprints and schematics, including signal flow and wiring diagrams
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Skilled in soldering techniques
  • Experience with various techniques used in pulling wire and cable
  • Considerable knowledge of low voltage electronics
  • CTS certification preferred but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively resolve conflicts
  • Prior experience working effectively as a team leader and directing the work of others
  • Ability to quickly process information, prioritize job tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work cooperatively and effectively within a team environment
  • Possess a valid driver's license and driving record that meets the company's insurance standards
Work Environment:

This position requires the ability to regularly stand, walk, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers, reach, and push with hands and arms. Frequently required to sit, climb, and balance. Work requires the ability to perform job duties on scaffolding, ladders, and at various heights as well as extensive overhead motion required to install equipment. Work requires the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds on a daily basis. Will periodically work in non-climate-controlled environments.
