The Memorial Health University Medical Center seeks a highly skilled and experienced Specialty Resource Nurse to oversee the functioning of the ENT clinical specialty team. As a key member of the Perioperative Services Department, this nurse will be responsible for ensuring optimal patient outcomes, efficient use of resources, and a customer-focused philosophy.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain basic knowledge and skills in all perioperative-specialty areas, taking call and shift rotation as needed.
Serve as primary clinical resource to ensure optimal management of patients within specialty area, practicing approved aseptic technique and monitoring the techniques of others.
Utilize simple, direct, and clear verbal instructions and obtain feedback to ensure that instructions are understood, demonstrating a supportive, receptive, non-threatening communication style.
Assist in coordination of daily assignments and decisions for utilization of specialty-team members, fostering an environment that focuses on values, autonomy, and accountability.
Requirements:
BSN preferred, with a minimum of three years of current clinical experience in perioperative nursing.
Six contact hours of specialty inservice or management-approved inservices within last 12 months.
Current BLS/CPR certification per policy, with certification as an operating-room nurse preferred.
