Job Overview

The Construction Support Specialist is primarily responsible for supporting our site superintendents to ensure that projects are protected, secure, and clean. They will also support the trades by completing critical details of construction. They must deliver the highest level of customer service at all times and work with the highest integrity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Prepare sites for construction, protect finishes, and pick up supplies.
  • Site Security: Open sites and secure them at the end of the day.
  • Customer Service: Consistently and genuinely demonstrate exemplary principles of customer service and teamwork.
  • Communication: Be the 'eyes' of the company when the superintendent cannot be on-site and communicate conditions accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Site Clean-up: Assist in site clean-up as needed (including removing debris, sweeping, and general clean-up not done by other trades).
Hands-on Projects
  • Wall Installation: Install backing in walls.
  • Temporary Wall Framing: Frame temp walls.
  • Hardware Installation: Install door, bath, and cabinetry hardware.
  • Demolition: Small demolition projects.
  • Trim Carpentry: Install small areas of trim carpentry.
  • Punch List Items: Misc. punch list items after projects have been completed.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills: Broad knowledge and skills in the areas of framing, drywall, carpentry, painting, and plumbing.
  • Communication: Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work 8-hour standing shifts.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required; truck or SUV preferred.
  • Technology: Ability to use time tracking and project management software on a smartphone.
  • Customer Service: Outstanding customer service. Ensure the highest quality customer service at all times.
  • Teamwork: Can-do attitude. Be flexible to change, and ready to help out around the job sites.
  • References: Must be able to provide 2-3 references directly from previous employers.
Benefits and Pay

This role would have a 90-day probationary period where hourly wages would apply, in the range of $26-32/hour with a minimum of 32 hours/week. After this period, a full-time position could be offered with the following benefits:

  • Salary: Salary range $58,000-$62,000, based on experience.
  • Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation, 8 paid holidays, and Holiday R+R from Christmas Day thru January 1st.
  • Foundation Give Back Days: 4, 9-hour days per year, paid for by Duet Build to volunteer with the Duet Design Group Foundation.
  • 401k: 401k with 4% match after 6-months.
  • Mileage Reimbursement: Mileage reimbursement.
  • Phone Stipend: Monthly phone stipend.
  • Health Care: Health care program and a monthly stipend, if enrolled in company plan.
