Construction Quality Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Quality Specialist to join our team at Denver Public Schools. As a key member of our Operations and Maintenance Department, you will be responsible for reviewing, inspecting, and documenting all construction projects during the construction period of the current Bond Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in the quality control/quality assurance program, including review of all projects from design through execution, documentation, progress reporting, conflict resolution, and final acceptance of projects.
- Serve in an advisory support role to Construction Services about maintenance of construction and installation control methods and documentation (Standards), including updating and revising documentation to match current technology.
- Evaluate new/alternate methods and materials as a cost-saving measure.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly tracking reports related to project review, inspection, issue resolution, and compliance documentation.
- Coordinate issue resolution with the Construction Services Project Manager and the Senior Manager of FSS/QAQC.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience working in a multiple facilities maintenance organization with multiple building trades in a public or private organization.
- Two (2) years training and/or equivalent experience in cost estimating, blueprint reading, business, and public and customer relations.
- Must have a valid Colorado driver's license or be able to obtain a Colorado driver's license within the state's required time frame for new residents and meet the District's insurability requirements.
