Role Summary:

The Audit Associate is crucial in executing audit engagements for our clientele. Collaborating closely with senior associates and managers, they will perform detailed audit procedures, analyze financial data, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards. Responsibilities include assisting in the planning and execution of audits, preparing audit documentation, and identifying opportunities for improvement in financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and preparation of audit engagements, including conducting risk assessments, developing audit programs, and documenting audit procedures.
  • Prepare and organize audit workpapers, supporting documentation, and financial statements in accordance with firm standards and audit methodologies.
  • Execute audit procedures in accordance with audit plans and applicable auditing standards, including testing of internal controls, substantive testing, and analytical procedures.
  • Document audit findings, exceptions, and recommendations in clear and concise working papers, and discuss findings with senior team members.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to obtain necessary information, clarify audit inquiries, and address client concerns or questions.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit deliverables and presentations for client meetings and discussions.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program with a focus on accounting.
  • Completion of educational requirements (150 semester/225 quarter units) for California CPA licensure eligibility prior to the specified timeline.
  • Preferred accounting GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
