Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and other machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical issues with heavy machinery, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Utilize fleet maintenance software to track and document all service and repair information.
  • Operate heavy machinery as needed, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and resolve issues quickly to minimize downtime.
  • Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in heavy equipment technology and apply this knowledge to the maintenance and repair of our fleet.
  • Collaborate with the construction team to ensure all equipment is in optimal working condition and meets all safety standards.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy equipment.
  • Ability to perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections.
  • Experience with fleet maintenance software for documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
