Credit and Collections Specialist

Credit and Collections Analyst Role
The ideal candidate will complete activities within the Credit and Collections department, including implementation of company policies and procedures related to credit and collection activities. This role involves effective handling of collection of delinquent accounts and investigating the credit risks of customers.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company credit/collection policies, practices, and procedures across one or multiple geographic areas.
- Collect accounts following a relationship-focused approach.
- Underwrite new and existing accounts, which are a mix of corporations, proprietors, and consumers.
- Recommend and/or approve decisions regarding adjustments to customer accounts and referral of overdue accounts for legal action. Coordinate area collection decisions with management teams and sales departments.
- Manage delinquent customer receivables, recommend special customer payment plans, and participate in development of financial packages.
- Monitor credit activity, including monthly review of accounts, location compliance with credit policies and procedures, lien laws, and sales tax laws.
- Work closely with Credit Management and field leadership to resolve difficult collection cases.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, at least two (2) years of credit and collection experience in a B2B environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience. SAP experience is a plus.
