About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Design Engineer to join our Wireless Connectivity Silicon Team at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and bringing up innovative wireless silicon for various Apple products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop highly efficient firmware for wireless connectivity applications.
  • Collaborate with RF hardware, microcode, and MAC layer teams to architect and implement innovative algorithms and protocols.
  • Develop and maintain firmware for various Apple products, including the iPhone and Mac.
  • Work closely with the Radio, MAC, and Systems engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and performance.
  • Support pre-silicon validation efforts, including simulation, emulation, and FPGA prototyping.
  • Develop and maintain test and calibration capabilities for chip, module, and product factories.
  • Support post-silicon bringup, validation, performance characterization, system integration, and debug.

Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in firmware design and development.
  • Strong understanding of wireless connectivity protocols and standards.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
