Key Responsibilities:
- Address member inquiries through various communication channels, delivering precise and timely information regarding insurance coverage, benefits, and available services.
- Investigate and resolve billing issues, coverage questions, claims disputes, and other member concerns, ensuring a high level of satisfaction.
- Clearly articulate the specifics of insurance benefits, policy coverage, and procedural guidelines to members, aiding them in understanding their plans and accessing necessary services.
- Assist members with the claims process, including monitoring claim statuses, clarifying claim outcomes, and facilitating follow-ups or appeals as needed.
- Maintain thorough records of member interactions, documenting inquiries, issues, and resolutions in accordance with company policies.
- Comply with regulatory standards and internal policies, staying updated on changes in commercial insurance regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as claims and enrollment, to tackle complex issues and provide comprehensive support.
- Identify and suggest opportunities for process enhancements to improve the overall customer service experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 1 - 3 years of experience in customer service.
- Strong communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications.
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
- Previous experience in customer service, especially within healthcare or insurance environments.
