Job Title: Counter-Unmanned Systems Subject Matter Expert

Prevailance is seeking an experienced professional to provide support to USFF as the Executive Agent for Force Protection to identify and analyze the efficacy of fielded Counter-Unmanned / Uncrewed Systems used within the Navy's Force Protection Mission Area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Participating in various working groups, operational planning teams, conferences, etc., to assess the efficacy and interoperability of potential fielded systems
  • Working with the NAVNORTH Force Protection Policy Branch to develop concepts, procedures, and tactics for the employment of existing and future fielded counter unmanned/uncrewed systems throughout NAVNORTH

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of C-UUS operations across all domains and be able to evaluate advances in artificial intelligence and machine learning that could facilitate individual system or drone swarm attacks against US Navy assets.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with the Negation of Improvised Non-State Joint Aerial-Threats (NINJA) system and the Counter-Remote Control Model Aircraft Integrated Air Defense Network (CORIAN) system
  • Ability to understand and facilitate coordination with DOD and other national departments and organizations on C-UUS development and procurement

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to identify, research, evaluate, and recommend changes to airspace management, operational concepts, rules of engagement, or tactics required to optimize the use of US Navy C-UUS systems and/or deconflict with other U.S. military operations

Required Experience:

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in analysis and recognition of variances to Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Logistics, Personnel, or Facilities as they apply to the Antiterrorism Program encompassing C-UUS policy, doctrine, training, and lifecycle management
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and prioritize US Navy C-UUS capability and capacity gaps and solutions within the afloat, ashore, and expeditionary operating environments

Desired:

  • Minimum three (3) years of relevant experience in analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness of C-UUS operations in meeting established goals and objectives at various echelons

Education:

Bachelor's Degree is required, or four (4) years of analytical experience as a military officer or senior NCO (including counter-UAX training and certifications with various systems) is an acceptable substitute

Security Clearance:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
