Position: Maintenance Staff

Role Overview

The Maintenance Staff will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of all event areas, which encompass the main floor, mezzanine, backstage, restrooms, bars, and additional spaces. Key duties involve general maintenance tasks such as changing light fixtures, performing minor repairs, painting, restocking cleaning supplies, and executing other related responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough pre-event and post-event cleaning of public spaces including lobbies, restrooms, and seating areas, maintaining cleanliness throughout events.
  • Implement cleanup protocols after events, including sweeping, mopping, trash disposal, surface sanitization, and spill management to uphold cleanliness standards for future events.
  • Monitor inventory levels of supplies, report significant repair needs, and manage venue maintenance from a maintenance perspective.
  • Complete assigned tasks within designated timeframes under the supervision of Supervisors and Event Managers.
  • Perform safety inspections of work areas before and during events, identifying hazards, maintenance issues, and housekeeping needs.
  • Alert Supervisors or Event Managers regarding any concerns or issues.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Reliable, punctual, and consistent attendance is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to follow directions and work collaboratively with team members.
  • Capable of standing for extended periods (4-6 hours per shift) and lifting heavy items such as tables and chairs.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
