Position Overview:
As the Vice President of Nursing Services, you will be instrumental in defining the future of nursing practice across our organization. Your strategic leadership will guide nursing operations, ensuring the provision of high-quality, patient-focused care.

This role presents an exciting opportunity to lead and motivate a team of committed nursing professionals while fostering innovation and excellence in nursing practices.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:
Formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing nursing practices, quality of care, and patient outcomes. Work closely with executive leadership to align nursing objectives with the overall goals of the organization.

Clinical Excellence:
Champion evidence-based practices, clinical excellence, and ongoing quality improvement throughout all nursing departments. Assess and monitor nursing performance metrics to ensure compliance with care standards.

Financial Management:
Exhibit strong financial management skills to effectively oversee nursing budgets and optimize resource distribution.

Staff Development:
Cultivate a culture of professional advancement among nursing staff. Provide mentorship, coaching, and educational resources to enhance clinical skills and leadership capabilities. Promote accountability and results by establishing clear performance expectations and metrics for nursing personnel.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Partner with other executive team members and healthcare providers to enhance patient care delivery, improve interdisciplinary communication, and boost patient satisfaction.

Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and licensure regulations governing nursing practices. Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging healthcare technologies.

Qualifications:


Master's Degree required. A minimum of 12 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing administration, including at least 10 years in a senior leadership capacity. A minimum of 3 years of experience as an Associate Chief Nursing Officer or Chief Nursing Officer. Comprehensive knowledge of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) competencies is essential.

Must possess or be eligible for a New York State Professional Registered Nurse License.


Preferred Qualifications:
Engagement history with AONE and other national professional organizations is preferred. A background in research/publication in nursing practice and related fields is also preferred.

Travel Requirements:
Onsite travel may be required up to 10% as necessary.

Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $295,000 to $362,000 annually.
