About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Emergency Department Manager to lead our team in providing exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care through effective oversight of the department's daily operations and staffing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Oversee the Pediatric Emergency Department's daily operations, including managing staff, resources, and budgets to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Quality Improvement: Monitor and evaluate the provision of nursing care, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance quality and patient outcomes.
  • Staff Development: Provide coaching, mentoring, and feedback to staff to enhance their skills and competencies, ensuring they have the necessary training and support to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Clinical Expertise: Maintain expertise in pediatric emergency nursing practice, staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based guidelines and best practices.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Foster strong relationships with colleagues across departments, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to ensure seamless care transitions and optimize patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required), Master's degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a pediatric ED setting (required), minimum 3-5 years of leadership experience in an acute care setting (required)
  • Licenses and Certifications: Current Registered Nurse or active Compact license in the state of Texas (required), Basic Life Support certification (required), Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification (required), Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification (PALS) within 90 days of hire (required), Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN) (preferred)
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $150,000 per annum, based on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical coverage, life insurance, disability coverage, flexible spending accounts, and more. We also offer education assistance, tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities to support your career growth.

Estimated Salary: $135,000 per annum.
