Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Lead a team of supervisors to ensure appropriate staffing levels and meet operational metrics.
- Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly goals against unit plans and organizational goals.
- Report operational metrics to senior management and provide tactical and strategic plans to ensure organizational goals are met.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, sales, procurement, and participate in cross-functional projects.
- Drive continuous improvement by involving subordinates in problem-solving and decision-making.
- Responsible for project management of non-engineering initiatives for the business unit.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of the organization.
- Train and mentor staff to motivate them for effective performance and general growth of the company.
- Develop and communicate expectation levels and vision of the company to unit members.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Management, or other Technical four-year degree from a college or university.
- Minimum five years related supervisory experience, or equivalent industry experience.
- Lean Manufacturing - 6S, Kaizen, Visual Factory Concepts.
- Analysis and Fundamentals of statistical process controls (Six Sigma).
- Fastems experience preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite.
- Positive Communication.
- Risk Management.
- Broad understanding of manufacturing operations in a machine shop environment.
- Five plus years of production management experience.
- Aerospace manufacturing production management.
- Lean Certification a plus.
- Strong managerial presence that reflects a 'hands-on', participative, pro-active operating style.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Analytical in decision-making.
- Ability to comprehend broad business issues.
- Ability to accomplish objectives through others.
