About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Risk Assessment Specialist to join our team in Dallas, TX. As a key member of our underwriting unit, you will be responsible for evaluating risk and making informed decisions on new business and renewal opportunities.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting, with experience in analyzing client demographics, plan documents, and experience to ensure accurate pricing. You will work closely with our Distribution team to sell new business and maintain existing relationships, while maintaining a focus on exceeding financial objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Evaluate risk and underwrite Traditional Stop Loss Medical products in accordance with established guidelines and policies.
  • Analyze client data to ensure appropriate pricing, including client demographics, plan documents, and experience.
  • Develop premium rates and policy terms to offer in response to request for quote.
  • Negotiate and interact with distributors, clients, and potential clients regarding premium rates and terms.
  • Contribute to profitability by analyzing client performance and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Respond to requests for quotes within tight timeframes.
  • Participate in ongoing strategic planning and analysis of market trends and new product features.
