About the Role

Genesis10 is seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining building automation systems.

Salary and Benefits

This 4-month contract position offers a competitive hourly rate of $46.50, with opportunities for contract extension or conversion. Our benefits package includes weekly pay, medical, dental, vision, behavioral health platform, health savings account, voluntary term life insurance, voluntary hospital indemnity, and 401K.

Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of control systems, excellent technical skills, and a strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the engineering team to design and implement building automation systems
  • Ensuring compliance with industry codes, standards, and regulations during system installations
  • Developing customized programs and scripts for building automation systems
  • Configuring and integrating various devices, sensors, and equipment within the system
  • Performing system diagnostics to identify and troubleshoot programming issues
  • Conducting periodic inspections, testing, and calibration of building automation systems
  • Detecting and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner to minimize system downtime
  • Maintaining detailed documentation of all projects, including system modifications, as-built drawings, and programming changes performed in-house and by vendors
  • Generating reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and recommendations for improvements

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and experience with various control systems, including pneumatics, Wattstopper Lighting Controls, and Siemens Building Controls. Proficiency in programming and troubleshooting complex building automation systems is also required.
