We are seeking a highly skilled Process Equipment Specialist to join our team in Thousand Oaks Pilot Plant. As a key member of our manufacturing operations team, you will be responsible for providing operational support, troubleshooting, and optimization for assigned equipment. Your expertise in process engineering principles will be essential in designing, specifying, constructing, starting up, and validating process equipment and systems for capital projects of moderate scope and complexity.

Key Responsibilities

* Support system reliability and operational optimization efforts by identifying system performance risks and implementing risk reduction strategies.
* Lead and execute improvement efforts, including identifying cycle reduction time opportunities, efficiency gains, and yield improvement opportunities.
* Analyze problems, develop, and propose engineering solutions in a scientific manner using data techniques and analyses.
* Support new product introductions or new technology introductions by performing engineering assessments, implementing equipment modifications, and supporting engineering runs.
* Develop, organize, analyze, and present results for operational issues and engineering projects of small scope and complexity.
* Provide ad hoc technical support for equipment troubleshooting.

Requirements

* Masters degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Bioengineering.
* 2+ years of experience in operations/manufacturing environment, with a focus on process equipment and systems.
* Direct experience with regulated environments (e.g. FDA, cGMP, OSHA, EPA, etc.) is preferred.
* Strong understanding of process engineering principles, including design, specification, construction, startup, and validation of process equipment and systems.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and propose engineering solutions in a scientific manner.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based culture.
