Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate cranes and other heavy machinery to lift, transport, and position materials and equipment as necessary.
  • Perform pre-operation checks on equipment and identify any maintenance or repair requirements.
  • Rig loads and attach lifting apparatus to crane hooks to ensure proper load distribution and capacity.
  • Follow signal instructions from team members while operating cranes.
  • Assess load weights, compute load capacities, and ensure safe lifting practices.
  • Adhere to safety regulations, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain safe work habits.
  • Work closely with ground crew and fellow operators to ensure smooth workflow and safe job site conditions.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on equipment to guarantee peak performance.
  • Report any equipment issues or incidents without delay.

Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of crane operation experience.
  • Valid crane operator's license or certification.
  • Experience with various crane types and sizes.
  • Strong knowledge of safe crane operation procedures.
  • Good understanding of safety regulations concerning heavy machinery operation.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
